Quality
Consistent consumer satisfaction is the measure of our success as an organization. We will respond with urgency and competence to meet our customers' requests for product performance, technical information, and cost effectiveness. Our success in meeting our quality standard is based upon the dedicated initiative of all employees who are encouraged and trained to meet their responsibilities as members of our Company's team effort. Honesty, integrity, and trust are the paramount values that guide our personal and commercial relationships within and outside our Company. We are dedicated to protecting the health, safety and environment of our employees, customers, and neighboring communities.

At Houghton, planning for tomorrow drives the Company's leadership in processing fluids. Considerable changes are expected in the years ahead.

Future products must address the issues of safety and ecology as well as the need to improve productivity and profitability. By developing water-extendible products, oil can be conserved for those applications where it is absolutely required. We are turning to more natural, renewable resources and higher performance additives.

Tomorrow's products must also be concerned with extending the life of fluids in use, thus reducing the amount of waste material discharged into the environment. Bio-resistant fluids and compatible fluids are additional approaches to this problem. Continuing in-process maintenance and control will remain key to long fluid service life.

This is the value we will continue to offer — products that do more, perform better, and last longer — delivered bu people who work harder, give better service and care more. That's how Houghton statys young even though, as a Value, innovation and experience. Good reasons to do busines with Houghton.

Houghton received this medal from the Franklin Institute in 1874 for its development of Cosmolubric Oil.
